  • Work closely with the sales teams (sales executives, sales managers, sales engineers) to position IP product within the account.
  • Coach the sales team on identifying and driving IP business to closure.
  • Develop technical acceptance strategy based on NOKIA best practices and product differentiators.
  • Meet with influential customer decision makers and communicate verbally or via presentation tools the exact details of NOKIA's IP product capabilities.
  • Develop technical material, such as white papers and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Document network designs and recommendations using presentation tools, like PowerPoint and design tools, like Visio.
  • Feed accurate product development feedback into product line management based on current and anticipated customer requirements.
  • Work closely with IP business development teams to influence pricing and incentive strategy.
  • Ensure that product capabilities are accurately represented to customers.
  • Work jointly with many other departments and groups within NOKIA to develop interworking end-to-end solutions.
  • Juggle multiple opportunities and different accounts with conflicting priorities.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (or related technical degree and/or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience as a customer facing systems engineer (or consulting systems engineer, technical marketing engineer, etc.) in an IP focused (IP routing & Ethernet switching) role.
  • Deep understanding, hands-on, testing and deployment of IP Headers and per-hop standard forwarding behaviors.
  • Advanced routing protocols configuration, design and implementation: OSPFv2, OSPFv3, IS-IS, IS-ISv6, MPLS (LDP and RSVP), Segment Routing (MPLS and IPv6 data plane encapsulation), BGP (including multicast, unicast and VPN families).
  • Knowledge of Ethernet switching and L2 technologies: Standard loop avoidance mechanism, EVPN and its variants implementation.
  • Deep understanding of Telemetry, Yang models (proprietary and standards).
  • Ability to write Feature Request Documents describing software and hardware needs.
  • Deep knowledge to challenge the Product Line Managers and Engineering Department (R&D) on feature impacts.
  • Deep Hardware understanding, from physical ports to chipset behavior.
  • Familiarity with standardization entities like IETF, contributing to drafts and RFCs.
  • Hands-on experience demonstrating features needed for specific applications.
  • Experience with interoperability testing across multiple vendors (Juniper and Cisco knowledge is mandatory).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal communication.
  • Excellent customer communication etiquette and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable being an IP products expert within NOKIA.
