We are seeking a Principal Consultant to join our Medical Affairs consulting group within Lumanity, which has a specialized focus on empowering Medical Affairs leaders. We partner with our clients to navigate complex challenges, unlock the full value of their assets, and shape the future of medicine. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field, with an advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD, MBA) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, with a significant portion spent in life sciences strategy consulting.
  • Direct experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a specific focus on Medical Affairs is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience leading consulting projects from inception through to completion, with demonstrated mastery of managing project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Solid understanding of the scientific and clinical aspects of drug development and adept at conveying complex scientific and commercial information clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledgeable about the pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance environment, including guidelines and codes such as the PhRMA Code.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of complex strategic engagements across a range of Medical Affairs related projects at both organizational level and asset level.
  • Provide proactive executive leadership to project teams, guiding them from initial project design through to the final deliverables.
  • Accountable for the quality of all project outputs and leading key client engagements, such as moderating senior-level advisory boards and strategic workshops.
  • Act as the primary strategic thought partner for clients, providing ongoing value that extends beyond the immediate project scope.
  • Drive the growth of the business by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
  • Lead the development of compelling proposals, generating leads, and deepening relationships within key accounts.
  • Contribute to the firm's long-term growth strategy by identifying promising new service offerings and potential business categories.
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, championing their professional development and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Help build the firm's intellectual capital by advancing thought leadership on key topics within Medical Affairs and the broader life sciences landscape.
  • Drive effective collaboration with experts across Lumanity business practice areas.
