As a Principal Component Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Component Repair & Replacement Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Component Engineer role is the key interface between the customer, our analysis team, fabricators, and our field installation craft. In this role an attention to detail and ability to balance competing requirements are keys for success. As a Principal Engineer you will leverage your knowledge and experience to provide guidance to new engineers through pre-job briefs, document reviews, and mentoring. While the majority of our work is in support of the existing operating fleet, the group is also actively involved supporting multiple new reactor concepts. Our current work scopes include detailed design of reactor internals, rigging and transport planning, and interference studies. Multiple people in the group have received patents based on project deliverables.
