As a Principal Cloud Storage Administrator, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional IT support to the customer. As a Principal Cloud Storage Administrator, you'll handle cloud storage provisioning and management of cloud services/systems, while maintaining, optimizing, repairing, and recovering government cloud environment infrastructure components. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating storage configurations for approved SaaS offerings, monitoring changes, facilitating PaaS/SaaS updates, and decommissioning obsolete services. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in cloud storage administration, with hands-on expertise provisioning, managing, maintaining, optimizing, repairing, and recovering government cloud storage infrastructure in regulated environments
- Proven track record coordinating SaaS storage configurations, monitoring changes, facilitating PaaS/SaaS updates, and decommissioning services for large-scale enterprises
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)
- Strong knowledge of federal cloud standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53) and ITIL practices for service operations
- Proficiency in cloud storage platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Storage) and management tools (e.g., CloudFormation, ARM templates)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex storage recoveries and optimizations
- Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
Nice To Haves
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification
- Experience supporting DoD or large federal cloud storage environments, including multi-cloud hybrid setups and SaaS data governance
- Background in storage automation (e.g., Terraform for provisioning) and cost optimization tools (e.g., Azure Cost Management)
- Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Cloud+)
