You will be joining our exciting and highly visible Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) team. The CCOE team is the focal point of the transformation efforts for our IT Modernization project. You will enable the transformation of our cloud development and operations practices. The Cloud Platform Engineer should have a solid understanding of cloud services and be able to collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, infrastructure engineers, and security specialists. You will implement enterprise-scale cloud applications and effectively address information governance and security challenges associated with running large workloads on public clouds.

  • Lead discussions of processes for deploying and maintaining resources in Azure and GCP.
  • Responsible for maintaining Infrastructure as code for Azure and GCP.
  • Lead strategy meetings to improve shared infrastructure in Azure and GCP.
  • Own standards for deploying infrastructure in Azure and GCP.
  • Lead automation initiatives to improve processes for application teams deploying to Azure and GCP.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for shared resources in Azure and GCP or pipeline deployments.
  • Troubleshoot application deployments.
  • Participate in on call rotation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related analytical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in Public Cloud Services: PaaS, database services, network infrastructure (VNETs, subnets, NSGs, VPC, DNS), security, and monitoring tools.
  • 2+ years in Version Control Systems: Expertise in Git, Azure DevOps.
  • Indicate the number of years in Production Support: Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Indicate the number of years in Scripting and Automation: Proficient in writing scripts and automating processes.
  • Indicate the number of years in Configuration Management: Experience with Infrastructure as code, such as Terraform.
  • Advanced Cloud Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and projects.
  • Architectural Design Skills: Proven track record in designing scalable and resilient cloud architectures.
  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Cost Management: Demonstrated ability to optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.
  • 3+ years of Cross-Platform Experience: Experience with multiple cloud providers (Azure, Google Cloud).
