As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for playing a key role developing cloud solutions with cross-functional enterprise teams and business partners to architect, analyze and develop systems to meet the needs of our technology partners & customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or experience
  • 9+ years of experience in Analysis, Design and Coding in a lifecycle environment
  • 9+ years of experience with Object Oriented Development/Programming (OOD/OOP)
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and implementing stable, high-quality, high-performance applications using distributed or cloud technologies
  • 7+ years of experience with ASP.NET Web API & C# or similar technologies
  • 7+ years of experience with Azure SQL or similar technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with infrastructure automation for continuous integration and continuous deployment of technical solutions leveraging Azure Services and Features
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform
  • Able to generate hybrid system diagrams given system requirements
  • Able to debug and resolve complex issues in cloud environments for business-critical applications

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Analysis, Design and Coding in a lifecycle environment
  • 3+ years of experience using Docker and containerization
  • 2+ years of experience with technical writing (requirements documents, diagraming, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience with Python
  • 1+ years of experience with Monitoring, Dashboarding and Alerting systems like Dynatrace, Azure Monitoring and Splunk
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems analysis to understand existing systems and provide recommendations and documentation on enhancements, migrations, or new sub-systems development
  • Lead requirements gathering, design and delivery of solutions to support business areas
  • Design, author, and review architecture and dataflow diagrams
  • Draft and review internal architecture and design documents
  • Support existing Publix systems software by implementing enhancement, support, and maintenance code
  • Follow application lifecycle management process used (agile/scrum/waterfall) depending on team and system
  • Work on infrastructure monitoring systems that cover deployed systems on-prem, in the cloud and/or on AKS
  • Secure Publix systems software and cloud infrastructure by implementing security best practices and adhere to the enterprise security standards
  • Design and develop Azure solutions utilizing Compute (Azure Kubernetes Service, App Service, Function Apps), Networking (API Management, Application Gateways, VNET, SUBNET, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall etc.), Data (Storage, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Databricks etc.), Security (Securing Azure Services, Managed Identity, Service Principal etc.).
  • Design & develop cloud native distributed and event driven architectures using highly available services.
  • Design & develop solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices.
