About The Position

We are looking for a Principal Cloud Engineer to join our team. You’ll be part of a dynamic leadership team, driving technology advancements and efficiencies through collaboration, mentoring and hands on contributions. Our mission is to build, instrument and operate through automation highly resilient and scalable cloud infrastructure. We’re on a journey and need key contributors who’ve blazed that trail before to come and be a part of the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience or work in building and operation tooling, including Terraform
• Proficiency in building, monitoring, automation, and operating Kubernetes in AWS
• Strong scripting skills against both infrastructure and API endpoints
• Demonstrated experience with AWS tooling, environments, security shared model and core constructs (IAM, Accounts, etc.)
• Experience in migrating organizations from an on-prem virtualized ecosystem to a cloud ecosystem
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Able to explain and demonstrate core constructs of instrumentation, monitoring and alerting
• Strong mentoring skills
• Proven ability to cross-train and build a collective skillset within an organization
• Familiar with security incident event management patterns
• 7-10 years in cloud and automation experience
• Bachelor's in software engineering or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years in cloud and automation experience
• AWS Implementatoni expetise
• Demonstrated experience with AWS tooling, environments, security shared model and core constructs (IAM, Accounts, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Build, instrument and operate cloud infrastructure patterns Terraform as hell as AWS services and offerings
• Define and build frameworks to migrate applications between on-premise systems and cloud systems
• Mentor peers and teams on best practices, hands on skills and automation techniques
• Input into the cloud strategy and vision based on experience and pitfalls
• Be able to research and distill industry trends into business applicable use cases
• Troubleshoot problems across entire infrastructure and application stacks
• Communicate from a story deliverable to a vision statement across a wide variety of audiences
