You'll maintain, optimize, repair, and recover infrastructure components of the cloud environment, performing routine health checks, performance tuning, and disaster recovery testing to minimize downtime. Your goal will be to ensure high availability, security, and compliance in a multi-cloud or hybrid setup, while coordinating SaaS/PaaS configurations, monitoring changes, and facilitating updates. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud administration, with at least 3 years focused on government or regulated environments provisioning and managing infrastructure
  • Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP Government editions), including IaaS/PaaS/SaaS management and automation tools
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)
  • Strong knowledge of federal cloud compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53) and ITIL practices for service management
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and monitoring
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex repairs and recoveries under pressure
  • Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
  • Applies and/or develops highly advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Viewed as expert in the field
  • Often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with long-range goals and objectives

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Azure Administrator Associate certification, with government-specific endorsements
  • Experience supporting large DoD or federal customers, including multi-cloud hybrid environments and SaaS orchestration (e.g., Okta, Microsoft 365 Government)
  • ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification, with focus on service transition and operations
  • Background in cloud cost optimization tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer) and decommissioning processes for legacy systems
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Cloud+, CISSP for secure cloud administration)
  • MCSA, VCP, or VCAP certification
