The Principal Clinical Program Pharmacist is a pivotal role within Prime Therapeutics, responsible for implementing strategies and developing clinical products that meet the needs of our members. This position is crucial in ensuring that our clinical products remain competitive in the market by understanding and addressing market problems, executing the product roadmap, and maintaining clinical criteria. The role requires regular interaction with leadership to discuss product strategy and necessitates collaboration with various departments to ensure that the established strategies are effectively executed. In this role, the Principal Clinical Program Pharmacist will develop and manage complex clinical product initiatives, which include establishing clinical criteria. The pharmacist will gather, analyze, and synthesize market information, clinical guidelines, and member claims data to support clinical product management initiatives and strategies. Additionally, the pharmacist will coordinate, launch, and implement new products, product enhancements, and process improvements, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process. The Principal Clinical Program Pharmacist will also represent the Clinical department as a strategic partner during customer requirement sessions, ensuring that the department's needs and capabilities are effectively communicated. This role includes oversight of regulatory compliance (URAC/NCQA, CMS, state law) and external representation of the department. The pharmacist will validate the accuracy of clinical product information and may be involved in user acceptance testing of applications and programs. Establishing and maintaining cross-functional partnerships with leaders is essential to drive informed decisions and successful execution of initiatives. Collaboration with client partners may also be required as part of the role.
