About The Position
The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a Principal Chemist to serve as the Chemical Response Coordinator within the Chemical Preparedness and Clinical Chemistry section of the Environmental Chemistry Division. This role involves supporting the national CDC LRN-C program and the CT DPH Lead Poisoning Prevention Program by analyzing clinical specimens for select chemical agents and toxic metals, particularly in relation to statewide opioid surveillance efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience with sample preparation methods and modern analytical instrumentation.
