About The Position

Be part of the Leadership team that is responsible for providing Aerospace level certification oversight. The Product Assurance Airworthiness & Certification (PAAC) organization has a Principal Certification Engineer position available. The successful candidate will be expected to meet qualification criteria for the Honeywell TSO Specialist. You will be responsible for adherence to the Honeywell and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Partnering for Safety Plan (PSP) and work with members of leadership from various product groups to ensure TSO projects are compliant with regulations and the Honeywell TSO manual. You will provide technical leadership to a group of talented professionals who provide expertise to facilitate the successful installation and certification of Honeywell products. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Aerospace or equivalent discipline
  • 8 years experience in the development and certification of avionics systems & equipment
  • A US Citizen or permanent resident due to export control and ITAR restrictions.
  • Ability to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Previous or current FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) delegation or ODA Engineering Unit Member
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft wiring and associated documentation is preferred
  • Knowledge of communication, navigation, surveillance, flight controls, flight management systems is an asset
  • Demonstrated communication skills with both internal and external customers as well as leadership
  • Self-directing with ability to manage to schedules & metrics is preferred
  • A proven ability for fostering excellent customer/certification agency relationships is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and productivity gains through use of collaborative team methods is preferred
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
