As part of AbbVie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team, R D Global Therapeutics is dedicated to building and deploying scalable, business-driven Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications and Platforms. We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Principal Business Systems Consultant, AI Platforms, to lead the strategy and execution of automation initiatives, with an emphasis on AI document generation solutions. In this role, you will guide the evolution of AbbVie's AI platforms by collaborating closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to design, validate, and operationalize impactful AI use cases. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing business and technical requirements to accelerate delivery of Generative AI solutions that address key business challenges. Your leadership will drive AI adoption, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate innovation across R D Global Therapeutics.

  • Works with senior business unit clients to understand specific business processes, business drivers, and business strategy across multiple functions.
  • Identifies, prioritizes and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology.
  • Proactively investigates and understands capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across the business area.
  • Defines needed human and technology capabilities contributing to and helping to build necessary training.
  • Accountable for the creation and further refinement of project requirements and for BTO Demand initiation and coordination.
  • Simultaneously considers objectives of multiple functions and measures performance to ensure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.
  • Anticipates and responds to current and emerging business needs and evaluates alternative IT solutions.
  • Builds collaborative relationships and effectively interacts frequently with business and/or technology senior leaders.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years' experience; Master's Degree with 8 years' experience; PhD with 4 years' experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge, experience and capabilities in financial planning and evaluation, business plan development, investment modeling, portfolio planning, and Request, Project and Program methodologies.
  • AI Product Management experience.
  • Proven experience managing and/or delivering AI use cases, with a focus on generative AI solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in software requirements definition and workshops for eliciting requirements from stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of software development best practices with proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of large language models and generative AI technologies.
  • Technical writing experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in the Life Sciences industry and/or GXP validated systems.
