The Principal Business Strategy leads high‑impact strategic initiatives that translate AT&T Business priorities into executable plans and measurable business outcomes. This role blends rigorous strategy and analytics (market/competitive insight, business case development, financial modeling) with execution enablement and value realization discipline (governance, performance tracking, adoption and sustainability). Operating with significant autonomy, the Principal Business Strategy manager serves as a trusted partner to senior leaders, ensuring decisions are grounded in economics and feasibility, and that initiatives progress from hypothesis to delivery with clear accountability for results. Requirements

  • 8+ years in strategy, transformation, consulting, or corporate strategy roles
  • Direct ownership of enterprise initiatives from hypothesis through delivery and value realization
  • Hands‑on experience with financial models, benefit tracking, and executive governance forums
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired
  • 8+ years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Rigor & Structured Problem Solving – Ability to translate enterprise priorities into clear hypotheses, initiatives, and success metrics
  • Advanced Financial Acumen – Deep fluency in unit economics, P&L drivers, business cases, scenario modeling, and value leakage identification
  • Execution Enablement & Value Realization – Strong discipline around governance, performance tracking, adoption, and sustainability of outcomes
  • Executive communication & decision support – Clear, decision‑ready storytelling that links strategy → execution → financial impact
  • Cross‑functional Leadership – Proven ability to align Business, Finance, Technology, and Operations in a matrixed environment
