The Business Relationship Management team serves as the bridge between the technology organization and TriNet business leaders. Business Relationship Managers facilitate partnerships that enable the company’s strategic objectives. This position builds strong relationships with business and technology colleagues to strengthen the intersection between technology and business outcomes. The Principal Business Relationship Manager engages with internal colleagues to analyze business processes, identify potential workflow improvements, and work with technology partners to design and implement solutions. This position views business processes from an overall organization perspective, ensuring technology solutions are implemented from an enterprise perspective.

  • Engage with business colleagues and executive leadership to understand existing business priorities, processes, and pain points.
  • Align business knowledge with technology solution expertise to identify workflow improvements that benefit the organization.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Technology and business colleagues, with a focus on executive leader relationships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders to influence change and drive business process improvements.
  • Assess business impact potential of proposed changes/improvements to help prioritize work requests.
  • Conduct financial and timeline analysis of improvement opportunities, focusing on ROI and make recommendations on prioritization against competing priorities.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and present improvement ideas to executive leaders for consideration and review.
  • Serve as a leader in de-escalation of issues and conflicts amongst the BRM team and with executive leaders throughout the organization.
  • Be well versed in the entire portfolio of improvement opportunities and assist in resolving budget, resource, and prioritization conflicts.
  • Stay abreast of external best practices to ensure recommended technology solutions and process change recommendations are aligned with industry best-of-class innovations.
  • Lead as a central communication liaison between the Global Technology Organization and business unit colleagues.
  • Execute to BRM standardized processes for requirements gathering, business process documentation, impact evaluation, technology solution feasibility analysis, communication protocols, training, and project execution.
  • Analyze BRM standardized processes for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to other BRM colleagues.
  • Knowledge of Finance business processes is a plus.
  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work independently and carry out assignments expected of job level and coordinate assignments for less experienced team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills and ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Expert ability to influence decision makers and execute to change management with internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Expert ability in translating technology solution benefits to non-Technology colleagues, particularly to executive leadership.
  • Expert ability to interpret and document requirements, create impact presentations and facilitate meetings with executive stakeholders.
  • Expert ability to manage and resolve budgeting, resource, and prioritization conflicts.
  • Advanced knowledge of PEO industry applications and data, and BRM industry best practices and protocols.

  • Expert ability and aptitude in logical and analytical thinking, and problem solving skills.
