About The Position

The Principal Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture within the Henry Ford Health System. This position serves as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders and team members, focusing on gathering data, generating reports, and providing actionable insights to enhance decision-making across various levels of the organization. The analyst is responsible for developing comprehensive reports, implementing improved reporting processes, and mentoring peers while managing complex projects and adapting to evolving customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Applied Science required.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in a healthcare or business setting.
  • Epic experience required.
  • Expert in Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or other BI tools.
  • Demonstrated application of statistical concepts.
  • Expert in relational databases and data visualization development.
  • Proven customer service experience with strong active listening skills.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) report development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the use of a programming language.
  • Experience in the use of any Enterprise Databases or shared data repository.

  • Participates in educational resources to stay updated on healthcare developments.
  • Creates recommendations for improving work efficiency and quality.
