About The Position

The Principal Business Analyst role is responsible for critical components of the Company’s internal management reporting, including monthly internal management reporting, financial analysis, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of financial and/or business analytics experience, professional designation is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial concepts with an ability to clearly communicate with a diverse audience.
  • Skills in taking broad and sometimes complex issues, simplifying findings, and effectively communicating with audiences with limited accounting/financials experience.
  • Experience taking data from multiple sources and projecting future outcomes.
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills are required.
  • Experience with Power BI is required.
  • Experience with Planful, other database tools, VBA, and/or SQL a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Analysis & Communication: Analyze complex business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and design impactful solutions to align with organization goals.
  • Collaborate with Field Leadership to translate business needs into actionable projects and initiatives providing high level insights and strategic recommendations
  • Communicate complex financial data and insights in a clear and actionable manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of business needs, changes, and progress.
  • Develop strong relationships with executive teams, department heads, and other business units to facilitate collaboration and drive business initiatives forward.
  • Lead meetings and presentations to gather feedback, align expectations, manage stakeholder concerns and layout findings, including actionable insights, to leadership teams.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Analyze and interpret financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Monitor and track key financial metrics, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop regular automated and ad-hoc financial/other reports for senior management, stakeholders, and other key business units.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets.
  • Develop accurate financial forecasts to predict future financial outcomes based on current data and trends.
  • Business Process Improvement: Analyze business processes and financial operations to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide data-driven insights to help streamline financial and operational procedures.
