About The Position

The Role As a Lead Analyst supporting the onboarding of Alternative Instruments in Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO), this individual will serve as a vital conduit between the delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure we meet the differentiated needs of Alternative fund structures and requirements. They will work with various internal teams to allow for the efficient functioning of this key line of business in our firm and interact daily with Alternative Investment Sponsors, clients, internal stakeholders, legal/compliance, and others. This Analyst will develop a significant internal voice on behalf of the Alternative product set and the broader FFIO organization, influencing systems and architecture solution design based on complex requirements. As a member of the team, the Principal Analyst leads initiatives with diverse scope and complexity, acting as the primary interface between end users, product management, and the systems organization. Our Analysts collaborate with business partners to assess complex business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. We work with business practitioners such as Portfolio Managers, Senior Management, and Attribution Analysts in defining analytical approaches to solving business requests. Finally, we support our delivery team’s dedication to quality by crafting and implementing tests that address business needs and ensure the delivery of solutions to our end users. The Business Unit: Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity. The Center of Excellence: The Principal Analyst will belong to our Business Analysis Center of Excellence. Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
• A minimum of five years of related experience in Financial Services with demonstrated understanding of investment instruments and financial markets; Alternative Instruments (e.g. including, but not limited to, Limited Partnerships, REITs, BDCs, Interval Funds and Crypto) experience preferred.
• Must be able to analyze complex and ambiguous issues, recommending creative solutions with clear and concise presentations
• A self-starter and excellent team member who is independent, collaborative, and can work with minimum supervision
• Proven expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.
• Affinity for data; where to get it, how to use it, what it means
• Ability to translate business requirements into well-defined key performance indicators
• A highly curious and motivated learner with strong problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with asset management back-office operations, mutual fund accounting, multi-layered fund structures as well as working knowledge of derivatives, a plus.
