About The Position

The Principal BPM Camunda Engineer is expected to closely collaborate with business, product, and service line teams to create automated processes. This role involves demonstrating mastery of professional practices and methodologies, providing effective technical leadership, and driving innovative, scalable solution delivery while safeguarding system stability. The engineer is also responsible for actively participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and sharing knowledge to upskill and empower team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in the domain of software engineering, with a specific focus on business process automation work.
  • Evidence of growing competence, independence, and responsibility in modeling and engineering complex process automation capabilities.
  • Demonstrable first-hand and recent expertise engineering with Camunda.
  • DevOps/CICD experience (Maven, BitBucket, GIT/Stash, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy).
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
  • Mastery of professional practices and methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Test Driven Development, Pair Programming, Code Reviews, Refactoring Techniques).
  • Proven capability in leading and mentoring others in professional practices and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated effective technical leadership.
  • Strong, educated, pragmatic opinions both on what we do and how we do it.
  • 5 years+ of BPM experience.
  • 2 years+ of Camunda experience.
  • Experience calling Camunda via APIs.
  • Leadership experience training others on BPM/Camunda.

Nice To Haves

  • SQL & PL/SQL experience.
  • Great team work and communication.
  • Moderate SQL + PL/SQL skill.
  • Some Java + Spring to help with APIs.
  • Experience running Camunda / BPM or other things in AWS/cloud environments.
