We are seeking a passionate Principal Business Intelligence Engineer to help build the next-generation data analytics platform, develop technical specification documents, and support enterprise-wide data solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Tableau, including best practices and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience with SQL and Python.
  • Strong experience in data modeling, semantic layer, and data catalog.
  • Ability to evaluate the long-term impact of key design decisions and account for failure scenarios.
  • Ability to mentor and guide a team of data analysts.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and perform well under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a similarly relevant field is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of BI Engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching.
  • Collaborate with business users, technology teams, and executives to understand data needs and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Build BI dashboards and continuously improve their quality, consistency, usability, reliability, and security.
  • Establish and drive BI best practices across the organization.
  • Design and maintain the semantic data layer for analytics and AI initiatives.
  • Partner with data science, data engineering, and software engineering teams to automate data analysis and visualization, provide guidance on data transformation, and identify opportunities to enhance data infrastructure.
