Requirements

  • Master's degree, preferably in education administration
  • At least five years of successful teaching experience
  • MA State Principal certification required
  • SEI Endorsement
  • Strong communication, team-building, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude and effectiveness in the responsibilities of an elementary school principal.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage students, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Proven leadership ability, including the capacity to motivate others and foster professional growth.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with school officials, educators, support staff, students, and families.
  • Commitment to working in a student-centered, inclusive environment that supports academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Ability to make independent, sound decisions in alignment with district policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and collaboration, responding effectively to changing needs and priorities.
  • Proficiency in using technology and office systems required to support instructional leadership and school operations.
  • Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), Sexual Offender Record Check (S.O.R.I.), and fingerprints.
  • Strong record of work performance in current and previous roles required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a principal preferred
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional leadership aligned with the Natick Public Schools vision and Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
  • Lead the implementation of high-quality curriculum, instruction, and assessment that supports student achievement and growth.
  • Use student data and MTSS practices to identify strengths, address gaps, and ensure academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support for all learners.
  • Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
  • Promote a school culture of equity, belonging, and inclusion, including racial equity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and support for diverse learning needs.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and support staff while leading hiring, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Oversee daily school operations, including facilities, safety, and support services, to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Foster a positive school climate through developmentally appropriate discipline practices and strong community relationships.
  • Manage the school budget responsibly, aligning resources with school priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with School Committee policies, district initiatives, and state regulations
  • Utilize technology systems such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and PowerSchool to support instruction, communication, and operations.
