About The Position

Central Berkshire Regional School District seeks a dynamic, articulate, results-oriented leader with a clear vision of elementary level education to serve in a unique hybrid capacity. This role combines building-level leadership (.6) with teaching responsibilities (.4) that help support multigrade classrooms in a small, rural community school.The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to standards-based curriculum and an understanding of how evidence-based instruction increases student learning, and be willing to lead a school through a transformative time. Foster an inclusive school environment that creates a sense of belonging and connects students and families with their community members Support improved instruction for students through use of systematic assessment and collection and analysis of data Communicate clearly and effectively with multiple stakeholders including students, their families, staff, community members, and CBRSD administrators. Support a tiered approach to Social and Emotional Learning to include Responsive Classroom Support the implementation of CBRSD adopted curriculum in all areas Collaborate with and evaluate professional staff Develop, prioritize and manage a school budget Integrate responsible use of technology into instruction Fulfill the responsibilities of associated with being a .4 teacher as needed Manage other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Requirements

  • Massachusetts certified/certifiable as a Principal/Assistant Principal (PreK-8)
  • Previous successful experience as an elementary teacher or administrator
  • Demonstrate a commitment to standards-based curriculum
  • Understanding of how evidence-based instruction increases student learning
  • Be willing to lead a school through a transformative time
