About The Position

SkyWater is hiring a Automation Engineer Principal for our Kissimmee, FL site. Will serve as a technical lead designing, coding, and supporting factory automation equipment interfaces. Will introduce and implement new applications, technologies, or techniques to support factory automation. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automation equipment interface solutions for controlling semiconductor factory equipment using SECS/GEM and GEM300 protocols. Steer technology decisions and product selections affecting automation systems for the site.Integrate automation solutions to 3rd party support systems such as Automatic Process Control (APC) or Fault Detection & Classification (FDC) within the factory.Identify and implement custom Automation rules for improving site metrics such as Automated Move Out %, Line Yield, rework etc.Troubleshoot automation and equipment issues from application and communication log files.Works with tool owners to identify and document equipment control strategies. Works independently on complex problems and serves as technical lead for junior engineers or technicians in the company. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field of study with 10 years manufacturing industry-related experience. Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.Develop and maintain automation equipment interface solutions for controlling semiconductor factory equipment. Experience automating 200mm semiconductor equipment. Experience developing on multiple software platforms & technologies. C#, C++, java, SQL or python. Project Management and technical documentation skills.US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field of study with 10 years manufacturing industry-related experience. Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Develop and maintain automation equipment interface solutions for controlling semiconductor factory equipment.
  • Experience automating 200mm semiconductor equipment.
  • Experience developing on multiple software platforms & technologies. C#, C++, java, SQL or python.
  • Project Management and technical documentation skills.
  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
