About the HR Data Management and Governance Team: The Human Resources Line of Business, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Principal Process Manager to join our HR Data Management & Governance Team. The HR Data Management & Governance Team is primarily responsible for ensuring that all Workforce data, including international data, stay Well-Managed and comply with the various Data Policies, Standards, and Procedures that Capital One has in place by partnering with key stakeholders, such as HR Risk, Privacy, HR Experience Teams as well as People, Products & Technology. About the role: In this role, you will be at the forefront of Capital One's Global Expansion effort and drive Data Management excellence across HR’s global Workforce footprint. In doing so, you will ensure international workforce data and externally shared data (XDS) related risks are monitored, controlled, and mitigated. Additionally, you will manage high priority usages (HPU), execute recurring data destruction activities (purge), and evaluate masking strategies to protect sensitive information while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Furthermore, you will partner with the HR Risk Office and special Data Privacy projects, to deliver high visibility Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), which will ensure Capital One mitigates risks in the HR International data space. Ability to coordinate large efforts across cross-functional Teams, when needed. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office or G-Suite
  • At least 2 years of experience in Data Management Control processes or Risk Management activities
  • At least 3 years of Process Management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GDPR and PIPEDA Privacy Laws
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
  • Familiarity w/ Agile Methodology and Jira
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Governance
  • 4+ years of experience in Process Management

Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Data Management and Information Data Management
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as work in the white space when needed
  • Primary role to ensure workforce data across different geographies is identified and registered appropriately as well as follows the Data Management Standards.
  • Primary role for Global External Data Share platform, Coupa, and Supply Chain (ESM) to ensure appropriate retention/destruction requirements are captured for international workforce data shares.
  • Provide assistance with the coordination of global workforce process implementations, such as Purge and Business-as-Usual (BAU) Data Management (DM) activities.
  • Oversee the utilization of privacy artifacts across the respective geographies, ensuring consistency and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Own the control and process for Identifying New High Priority Usages across international geographies
  • Support all the dependent controls for usages if there are any HPU’s identified for workforce internationally
  • Support development and performance of key privacy controls, ensuring compliance with applicable regulation.
  • Partner with HR Risk Office and Privacy teams to centralize oversight and achieve well-managed global workforce data
  • Ability to create strategy/action plans, craft presentations as well as Road Map to track progress
  • Travel to global sites is preferred but not required
  • Supporting role in the Annual Purge and Deletion processes across specific global sites.
  • Partner with EDRM & Risk to define/complete any outstanding Finding/Problem remediation Action Plans
  • Create updated procedures/ Job Aids and Play Books to help our PDS community navigate through the tasks of managing international data
