About The Position

The Principal Architect will be involved in the strategy, architecture, design and implementation of products that exceed functional expectations consistent with the values of RedSail Technologies. Is active in maintaining technology roadmaps, code quality and functional design following company and industry best practices. Is involved in a cross-product architectural design process, identifying patterns that suit one or many products within the RedSail family.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science OR the equivalent (4 years) combination of education and/or years of relevant working experience.
• 10 years of professional experience in a Senior Software Engineer position.
• 15 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Expert understanding of C# and .Net
• Expert understanding of Microservice patterns
• Expert understanding of Rest API patterns
• Basic understanding of React/Angular/JavaScript
• Experience in distributed applications
• Experience with relational databases and design
• Uses independent judgment and discretion based upon the employee’s experience in the position and knowledge of the products, equipment, and services.
• Uses good judgment and possesses ethical work values.
• Moderate or high levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.
• Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.
• Daily use of Microsoft Teams (phone), computer, printer, and other routine office equipment.
• Must have reliable and consistent internet access.
• Little responsibility for the safety of others.
• Job is performed in an office setting where there are no hazardous materials or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CTO and SVP, Product to create and maintain the software architecture portions of an overall Technology Roadmap
• Research, analyze and present recommendations on new and changing technologies
• Implement Proof of Concepts that guide senior architects on new architectural considerations
• Effectively consider and communicate theoretical vs. practical concessions to prioritize business outcomes
• Develops and delivers quality code that meets the functional requirements defined by product management.
• Ensures high quality by recommending and establishing coding best practices.
• Communicates and accurately documents feature status, coding patterns, and functional design.
• Performs other duties as assigned by RedSail Technologies development management.
