About The Position

Parabilis Medicines is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to creating extraordinary medicines that unlock high-impact protein targets long-considered undruggable. The company has developed a new class of stabilized, cell-penetrant alpha-helical peptides – Helicons™ – capable of modulating intracellular proteins that are inaccessible to traditional drug modalities. Headquartered in Cambridge, Mass., Parabilis is advancing a focused pipeline of multiple first-in-class therapies across both rare and common cancers. Its lead candidate, FOG-001, is the first direct inhibitor of the interaction between β-catenin and the T-cell factor (TCF) family of transcription factors, implicated in colorectal cancer, desmoid tumors, and a range of other Wnt/β-catenin-driven tumors. Parabilis is also advancing investigational degraders of ERG and ARON for the treatment of prostate cancer, as well as other preclinical programs. Parabilis Medicine, Incis seeking a Principal Architect, Cloud Solutions to define and advance our cloud, AI, and data infrastructure strategy. This is a senior individual contributor role that partners closely with the Sr. Director of IT, Chief Data Science Officer, and cross-functional leaders across Research, Clinical, and Enterprise teams. You will own the design and evolution of secure, scalable AWS environments that support AI development, regulated data platforms, and enterprise workloads. As a technical leader and trusted advisor, you will shape long-term architectural decisions, drive key initiatives, and mentor others through influence and example.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years designing and operating cloud infrastructure, including 7+ years of deep AWS experience
  • Proven success architecting secure, scalable, highly available platforms in regulated or research-driven environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks
  • Experience supporting AI/ML workloads, including LLM-based applications
  • Deep knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, security architecture, and hybrid connectivity
  • Demonstrated experience embedding compliance frameworks (GxP/FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, SOX) into cloud systems
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for automation and integration
  • Ability to translate complex scientific and business requirements into robust architectures
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without formal authority
  • Active, practical use of AI tools in current or recent roles (advanced or innovative use is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the company’s cloud and AI platform architecture and multi-year roadmap
  • Design and implement secure, scalable AWS solutions supporting research, clinical, and business operations
  • Architect cloud infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including model training, deployment, and reproducibility
  • Establish and maintain AWS landing zones, account structures, networking, and identity foundations
  • Lead Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native deployment practices
  • Embed security, compliance, and data integrity principles (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, SOX) into all designs
  • Implement monitoring, observability, cost management, and high-availability/disaster recovery patterns
  • Partner across IT, Data Science, and business teams to translate needs into durable technical solutions
  • Mentor engineers and data scientists on cloud-native and AI-enabling best practices
  • Serve as the principal cloud architecture advisor for stakeholders across the organization
