Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data - structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric. The Applied AI team is part of the Azure Data - Customer Advisory Team (CAT) and we're seeking a Principal Applied AI Engineer to lead some of our efforts. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with data science / machine learning with an emphasis on experimenting using Python, C#, etc.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with large data and compute using tools like spark, SQL, databases, other cloud solutioning (e.g. deployment, monitoring).
• Experience communicating at different levels (e.g. customers, executives) to clarify problem statements, solutions and product feedback.
