About The Position

CGC is seeking a Principal Application Integration Engineer to architect, build, and guide application-level integration patterns for ISVs operating on our FedRAMP-High and FedRAMP-Moderate platforms. This role sits at the intersection of application development, identity integration, multi-tenant architecture, DevSecOps, and modernization strategy, enabling ISVs to migrate, scale, and interoperate consistently on the CGC platform. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in full-stack engineering, backend service architecture, containerized application design, CI/CD enablement, identity-driven integration (Okta/B2C), and modernization of monolithic systems into cloud-native, secure, compliant models.

Requirements

• 10+ years in application development, backend engineering, or full-stack engineering, with strong architectural ownership.
• Proficiency in containerized service development, microservices patterns, and distributed system design.
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud-native patterns, and secure service mesh/networking concepts.
• Deep experience integrating enterprise identity platforms (Okta, AD B2C, SAML/OIDC/OAuth2).
• Experience building and deploying applications in highly regulated environments (healthcare, fintech, gov).
• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/IaC concepts, and modern DevSecOps approaches.
• Demonstrated success migrating legacy or monolithic systems to modern, cloud-native architectures.
• Prior experience building multi-tenant SaaS systems.
• Familiarity with cloud application development, event-driven systems, and distributed queueing models.
• CKA or similar cloud-native certifications.
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, ELK/Grafana) and secure secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Define application-layer integration patterns for ISVs, including multi-tenant user management, provisioning workflows, API gateways, service boundaries, and event-driven integration.
• Design reusable modernization templates for microservices, API decomposition, SaaS-to-SaaS integrations, and secure data exchange.
• Lead technical assessments of ISV applications/environments during onboarding and create modernization roadmaps aligned to CGC platform capabilities.
• Architect and implement Okta, Azure AD B2C, SCIM, OAuth2/OIDC, SAML and custom identity workflows for secure, compliant access models.
• Build reference modules for common ISV identity patterns, reducing integration friction and eliminating one-off implementations.
• Develop standards around application/container hardening, shared libraries, and reference microservices that ISVs and internal teams can use to accelerate adoption of CGC’s platform.
• Produce high-quality code, documentation, and integration guides used by Client Engagement and SRE teams to support ISV success.
• Ensure application-level patterns work seamlessly with CGC’s deployment model: GitOps workflows, zero-downtime rollouts, multi-region active/active, and automated compliance controls.
• Collaborate with the Architecture and SRE teams to ensure integration services are deployable, observable, secure, and platform-compatible across enclaves.
• Build and standardize compliant integration pipelines for healthcare and government workloads, and event-processing middleware.
• Work closely with SOC and Compliance to embed requirements directly into application patterns.
• Partner with Client Engagement engineers to translate ISV product requirements into secure, scalable integration designs.
• Provide mentorship, technical reviews, and architectural oversight across CGC’s engineering teams.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for application modernization, integration strategy, and service-level architecture.
