About The Position

Apollo Capital Solutions (“ACS”) provides companies with efficient and centralized access to capital by supporting cross-platform capital markets and syndication activity. As one centralized team, ACS partners with each of the Apollo's investment businesses to provide capital markets expertise, structuring, execution and ultimately drive syndication efforts on investments across the Credit, Hybrid, and Equity spectrum. The continued build and evolution of the ACS business is one of Apollo's key strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably within leveraged finance or other debt capital markets roles
  • Expertise in the syndicated leveraged finance and direct lending markets
  • Capability to underwrite and structure debt instruments
  • Entrepreneurial, business-building mindset with strong relationship building mentality
  • Established network of debt investors and banking relationships
  • Strong understanding of credit market dynamics (fundamentals, valuation, etc.)
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including liability management
  • Thorough understanding of financial and credit analysis, valuation, and primary fundamental research, and their application in investment decisions and transaction structuring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a willingness and ability to work across products or geographic lines
  • High level of motivation and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment
  • FINRA licenses (63 and 79)
  • Bachelor's degree required

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of portfolio company financings and guide deal teams through leveraged buyout financing workstreams for new investments
  • Develop timely insight into current capital markets, including forces driving the markets, types of lenders in the markets, debt solutions available, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with capital markets and banking teams focused on core verticals at each investment bank
  • Maintain relationships with institutional debt investors and investment banking teams to encourage direct dialogue, partnership opportunities, and syndication participation
  • Participate in Private Equity investment committee meetings and serve as a key capital markets resource, collaborating with senior investment professionals
