Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering/analytics engineering OR software engineering
  • 3+ years hands-on with Palantir Foundry.
  • Demonstrated delivery of production Foundry applications used by business users.
  • Strong Spark optimization skills; proficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for Foundry assets.
  • Proven ability to set reference architectures, lead design reviews, and mentor engineers new to Foundry.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Own the reference design patterns for Foundry-based data products across ingestion, transformation, Ontology modeling, and application layers.
  • Design, build, and optimize production pipelines with robust testing, data quality checks, lineage, and observability.
  • Lead development of user-facing Foundry applications, including information architecture, access controls, and performance tuning.
  • Establish engineering standards and CI/CD practices for Foundry assets and related cloud services.
  • Evaluate and implement access patterns to Snowflake and other sources with clear guidance on cost, latency, and resiliency.
  • Serve as Foundry subject-matter expert for the EDA team; coach and upskill engineers through pair-programming, design reviews, and reusable patterns.
  • Partner with Palantir and vendors on solution design, issue triage, upgrade readiness, and best-practice adoption.
  • Champion data governance, privacy, and security controls aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Define and track SLOs for pipelines and applications; implement alerting, error-handling, and automated recovery to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate use cases into roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
