About The Position

We are seeking an experienced technology leader to join our Global Technology Strategy & Architecture (GTSA) team as Principal of AI & Data Architecture supporting the Global Client Groups . In this role you will be responsible for helping set the strategy for AI & Data for the Global Sales and Marketing organization . You will partner with leaders and peers to influence and define strategic technology direction, target state solutions, and develop technology roadmaps , ensuring it is aligned with Capital Group’s IT and security strategy. The successful candidate will be able to work across a highly cross-functional organization, establish trust and credibility with stakeholders, organize and coordinate design workshops, and influence senior leaders on the strategy . Additionally, you will partner with domain and platform teams to determine roadmaps, trade-offs, proof-of-concepts and provide thought leadership on emerging trends that align technology advancements with business priorities. You will ensure architectural standards, scalability, security, and alignment with business domains, playing a key part in Capital Group ’s continued transformation and technological leadership.

Requirements

  • 10 + years experience in architecture, platform strategy, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Expertise across AI, data, cloud, infrastructure, integration, application, security, and productivity platforms.
  • Strong understanding of architectural principles, standards, and governance frameworks in a global setting.
  • Track record of successful stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to drive innovation, standardization, and simplification in complex environments
  • Commitment to security, compliance, and resilience in technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the AI & Data strategy for the Global Client Groups , encompassing capabilities, technologies, and required investments.
  • Establish and maintain architectural standards, reference architectures, and best practices to promote interoperability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align platform capabilities with organizational objectives and global business domains.
  • Ensure the integration of robust security and compliance requirements throughout the design and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including the Director of AI & Emerging Technologies Strategy, to evaluate, pilot, and scale emerging innovations.
  • Support the adoption of enterprise productivity tools, driving digital workplace transformation and operational efficiency.
  • Champion continuous improvement, talent development, and knowledge sharing within the GTSA community.
  • Participate in architectural governance processes, including target state reviews and architecture review boards.
  • Serve on the Software Engineering Council and contribute to the definition of software engineering practices, processes and standards.
