Principal Advisor, Business Excellence Drive strategic business improvement initiatives and thrive in a dynamic environment Excellent opportunity to contribute to our mission of continuous enhancement Permanent role based in Salt Lake City, USA About the role As the Principal Advisor, Business Excellence, you will take charge of overseeing and guiding business improvement projects at Kennecott, ensuring they align with our improvement strategy while effectively managing any necessary changes that arise. You’ll also play a pivotal role in coaching both change agents and leaders, supporting them in their efforts to enhance business practices. Your expertise will be crucial in providing technical support and guidance to project stakeholders, drawing upon lessons learned to drive success. Additionally, you'll be responsible for enforcing disciplined governance and maintaining quality assurance standards throughout improvement projects. This role is a great opportunity to drive and maintain discipline in the operation’s management of cash, improve performance, and deliver business improvement initiatives in conjunction with the Kennecott priorities. In addition, the role entails high levels of engagement with key internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager, Business Excellence, you will: Identify the business’ full potential and improvement opportunities Manage change (e.g. cultural shift, strategic change or on-going improvements) to ensure effectiveness and efficiency within the business Develop problem solving capabilities Develop and maintain effective relationships with leaders and employees to support the adoption of productivity improvement principals, project management, and a culture of continuous improvement Manage Strategic Initiative Office’s workstreams, engaging stakeholders at the assets to optimize cost and improve productivity Leverage group resources and implement Lean tools across site. Provide technical support to leaders and employees on continuous improvement approaches, including problem solving deployment and facilitation, in addition to leading specific business improvement projects.

Requirements

Specialist Expertise: Capable of performing statistical analysis to resolve complex problems and offer new perspectives using existing solutions.
Leadership Skills: Work in partnership with stakeholders and implement projects through influential leadership
Change Management Proficiency: Skilled in coaching change agents and leaders and managing change effectively throughout improvement initiatives.
Experienced Business Improvement Professional: Demonstrated experience in project management and/or business or process improvement and/or transformation
College degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Organizational Development, or other relevant disciplines
