About The Position

Provide seamless, proactive administrative support to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Research Biology, Genentech Research and Early Development. Partner closely with the Executive Administrative Business Partner to anticipate, prioritize, and fulfill needs in a highly complex, fast-moving environment. This role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of the SVP's office.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of senior-level administrative experience.
  • Unflappable, professional presence; thrives in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work across diverse groups and levels of seniority.
  • Exceptional prioritization and organization skills with the ability to juggle multiple, shifting demands.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite; adept with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Google Meets).
  • Solutions mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven track record of delivering accurate, timely work.
  • Demonstrated discretion handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Display flexibility to respond quickly to shifting priorities during core business hours.
  • Willingness to be full-time, onsite Monday-Friday.
  • Ability to manage extended computer use and occasional light lifting (up to 15 lbs).

Responsibilities

  • Manage a demanding global calendar, coordinating complex logistics.
  • Triage shifting priorities and handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Own the SVP's calendar: schedule, adjust, and resolve conflicts with speed and precision.
  • Coordinate high-volume travel, onsite/offsite meetings, and end-to-end logistics.
  • Track and process expenses, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.
  • Facilitate executive-level meetings (hybrid and in-person), ensuring flawless execution.
  • Manage internal and external visitors, candidate interviews, and new-hire onboarding.
  • Submit and track Facilities, IT, and Site Services requests.
  • Identify and resolve issues independently, exercising discretion and creative problem-solving.
