About The Position

As a Principal Solution Architect, you will collaborate with Verizon Connect's Enterprise, Mid-Market, and Public Sector sales teams to craft compelling value propositions for platform products. Your role involves conducting pre-sales presentations for the largest and most intricate existing and prospective clients. You will oversee all technical facets of proposed solutions, from the pre-sale phase through post-sale implementation, working closely with sales leadership and their direct sales teams. This position requires extensive pre-sales experience within the Enterprise, Mid-Market, and Public Sector segments, a robust technical foundation, and in-depth knowledge of SaaS technologies and enterprise applications. A strong background in technology, Internet protocols, sales, systems information management, and Business Intelligence systems design, including consultative or solution-based sales experience, is essential. You should enjoy working with both people and technology, possessing the ability to engage with engineering teams and demonstrating excellent relationship-building and communication skills. You are expected to create innovative solutions for complex customer business problems, adapt quickly to changing customer needs, and effectively translate complex technical information for both technical and business audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training
  • Technical sales experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Extensive pre-sales experience in the Enterprise, Mid-Market and Public Sector space
  • Strong technical background
  • Detailed knowledge of SaSS technologies, and enterprise applications
  • Strong background in technology, Internet protocols, Sales, systems information management, Business Intelligence systems design, including experience in consultative selling or solution-based sales
  • Ability to interact with engineering teams
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Verizon Connects Enterprise, Mid-Market and Public Sector sales teams to develop value propositions for our platform products
  • Conduct pre-sales presentations to the largest and most complex existing and potential prospects
  • Be responsible for all technical aspects of proposed solutions, from pre-sale to post-sale
  • Work closely with the sales leadership team and their direct sales team
  • Create novel solutions to the complex business problems our customers face
  • Work closely and be agile when customer needs change
  • Take the complex technical stuff and talk to fellow techies and business users in ways they both understand
