About The Position

Embark on a transformative journey as a Prime RAD Developer. At Barclays, our vision is clear – to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders across regions to translate requirements into high-impact technology solutions for the Liquid Financing business. As part of a Rapid Application Development function, you will focus on speed-to-market, delivering iterative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, eliminate manual processes, and generate actionable insights through high-quality MIS, reconciliation reporting, and analytics. You will gain direct exposure to front-office and operations teams while building solutions ranging from proof of concepts to scalable strategic platforms.

Requirements

Building robust software solutions within the financial services industry
Developing backend applications using Python and front-end interfaces using AngularJS or ReactJS, including designing RESTful APIs and microservices
Writing complex and optimized SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
Containerizing services using Docker and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines

Nice To Haves

Prior experience within Prime or Liquid Financing environments
Exposure to data science concepts and analytical techniques
Experience working within cloud-based infrastructure
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop
Openness to learning new technologies and adapting in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
