About The Position

At ROWI, the Primary Therapist is responsible for continuously monitoring client safety and developing effective safety plans. This role requires maintaining compliance with clinical documentation according to ROWI and Joint Commission standards, and communicating essential safety and progress information to the interdisciplinary team. The therapist delivers therapy sessions aligned with the designated level of care for each client, engages promptly with referral sources and outpatient professionals post-admission, and provides necessary updates. Key responsibilities also include collaborating on discharge planning and facilitating various group therapy sessions, such as alumni and multi-family groups. The Primary Therapist is expected to actively contribute to team meetings, uphold a positive, caring, and professional demeanor in all interactions, and serve as a steadfast role model for both clients and staff, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment. Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Must be licensed or eligible as an MFT, Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker. Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision.
  • 1 year in the mental health field
  • Comfortable with basic computer operations and maintaining strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for insurance on agency vehicles.
  • Current First-Aid & CPR Certifications and a satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Licensed Psychologist Credentials
