About The Position

We Level Up, under new leadership, is growing our residential treatment team in Spokane Valley and is seeking dedicated Mental Health Professionals who value collaboration, structure, and quality care. Mental Health Professionals are responsible for providing mental health and substance use treatment services in an inpatient residential setting. MHPs work closely with residents to provide daily therapeutic support and ensure individualized care plans are implemented effectively. This includes facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Each MHP supports a caseload of approximately 8–16 residents and plays an active role in treatment planning, documentation, and coordination with community providers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • CPR Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting, preferably in a mental health or substance abuse facility.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards in all client interactions.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and case notes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health conditions and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs and goals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and provide holistic support to clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and connect them with additional resources and support services as needed.
