About The Position

The Primary Teacher plays a vital role in supporting the Catholic Identity and Evangelising Mission of the school. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider community, the teacher ensures the spiritual, academic and wellbeing needs of all students are met.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of how students learn.
  • Understanding of the Australian Curriculum in a Tasmanian Catholic context.
  • Knowledge of current pedagogy and evidence‑based teaching practice.
  • Ability to create and maintain a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Capacity to assess, provide feedback and report on student learning.
  • Ability to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community.
  • Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania).
  • Qualified and registered Teacher in Tasmania, or ability to obtain registration prior to commencement.
