Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age; must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • One year experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities, or successful completion of training in the Missouri Quality Outcomes approved by the Division of DD regional office.
  • Completion of background checks including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly in the home and/or community with assigned client(s).
  • Participate in Individual Support Plan meetings and RN visits.
  • Train staff on each client’s medical needs and personal preferences.
  • Ensure staff are knowledgeable about client medications and potential side effects.
  • Oversee daily residential notes, goals, and health tracking.
  • Maintain checklists and schedules related to client care and appointments.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of the living environment, including proper food storage.
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on follow-ups and staff training.
  • Document and report any significant occurrences or concerns.
