Primary Sci., Eng., & Design Teacher - Lower School (2026-2027)
About The Position
Lake Highland’s Lower School seeks a Primary Science, Engineering, & Design Teacher to instruct students in Design Thinking (DT) methodologies and the Lower School science curriculum, facilitating project-based learning, fostering creativity, and guiding students in the safe and effective use of maker tools and technologies. This role provides instruction on the safe and appropriate use of tools like 3D printers, basic circuitry/robotics, hand tools, and crafting materials; participates in collaborative meetings, curriculum projects, conferences, and workshops; and should have demonstrated proficiency in DT methodologies and Project-Based Learning. This is a full-time, fully benefitted, 10-month, exempt position. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university, or international equivalent in related field required, preferably in Science, Technology, Education, or a related field
- Certification or qualification to teach in related area.
- Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred.

- Master’s degree in related field preferred.
