About The Position

Coach for grades 1-5 and/or Junior PreK-Kindergarten soccer with availability for late afternoon practices and potential early evening weekday games, totaling 1-2 days per week. Supports and upholds the mission and values of the International School of Texas Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters Models professional conduct and sportsmanship while instilling these characteristics within team members Schedules practices in consultation with the Athletic Director Monitors physical condition and fitness of participants and reports injuries to parents and school officials Continually monitors and supervises all activities of the participants at all practices and competitions Follows school policies regarding safety guidelines Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits Able to instruct athletes about proper strategy, skills, and rules of the game Able to motivate student-athletes to perform optimally as an individual athlete and team member Uses approved, corrective, and positive discipline procedures in dealing with inappropriate student conduct Required to lift or carry athletic equipment and supplies Required to maintain composure

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • Previous soccer coaching or playing experience
  • Works well with kids ages 3-5 and/or ages 6-10

Benefits

  • Monthly Stipend $50/hour, equivalent to $1,000-$3,000 per season from March - May.
