The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, faith formation, and the development of the whole child in a warm and supportive Catholic school environment. Position SummaryThe Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high‑quality instruction aligned with St. Peter’s curriculum and educational standards. This role supports the spiritual, academic, and social‑emotional growth of students, fostering a safe and engaging classroom rooted in Catholic values. Teachers collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families, and participate in the broader life of the school community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Missouri teaching certification, or the ability to obtain certification
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. Peter Parish
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required
  • Candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm for Catholic education and a student‑focused teaching approach are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement effective daily lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports learning and student well‑being

  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varied strengths and learning styles
