About The Position

WellMed, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join them in Apollo Beach, FL. Optum is a clinician-led care organization focused on improving healthcare. Comfort working with Advanced Practice Clinicians is essential. WellMed, partnered with Optum since 2011, specializes in preventative health care for over 1 million older adults across Texas and Florida, with a network of over 22,000 primary care physicians, hospitalists, specialists, and advanced practice clinicians.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S.
  • Residency trained and Board certification or Board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Florida or has Florida application in process
  • Valid DEA license
