Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Eligible for an Alabama Medical License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Current BLS (ACLS helpful but not required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with outpatient primary care preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult and/or family patient populations
- Perform annual physicals, wellness exams, and preventive care screenings
- Diagnose and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma, etc.
- Treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing
- Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure proper follow-up
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, MAs, and specialists
- Participate in quality improvement, population health, and clinic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards
