Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician – Bonne Terre, MO | J1 Visa Eligible | High HPSA Score | Outpatient Only Big System Support. Small-town Roots. Lead the Growth. BJC Medical Group is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our primary care team in Bonne Terre, Missouri — a historic rural community just one hour south of St. Louis. This primary care opportunity is ideal for family practice or internal medicine physicians seeking a community-focused PCP role with the stability of a major nonprofit health system. This is a physician leadership opportunity within an established primary care practice that is already staffed by two seasoned Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). You’ll step into a collaborative and supportive environment on day one and take the lead in growing the practice, expanding services, and deepening BJC’s presence in this underserved market. Practice Highlights This is a 100% outpatient, clinic-based primary care position with no inpatient or hospital call responsibilities You’ll join two experienced APPs who are already serving the community, giving you a built-in care team and an active patient base from the start The schedule is a 36-hour patient-facing work week, Monday through Friday — no weekends, no evenings. Responsibilities

  • Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or otherwise arranging for inpatient hospital care of physician’s patients, either through regular hospital rounds, making arrangements with one or more hospitalist(s) or other qualified physician to provide coverage for physician’s hospitalized patients consistent with Medical Staff requirements.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the care team to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at the clinic location(s) designated by BJC and any other BJC clinical outreach location to which physician may be assigned as patient care demands.
  • Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.
  • Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to BJC and in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws, while observing and following all BJC policies and procedures and all applicable legal, ethical and professional standards.
  • Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers, support staff or any care team member assigned in the care of physician’s patient panel.
