About The Position

SUMMARY Provide the full scope of primary care services to patients of BILHPC practices, including but not limited to diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, preventive care and health maintenance, and coordination of care. Physician will generally have a focus on either internal medicine or family medicine. This role is an employment model position in the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. (HMFP). A Harvard Medical School appointment at the Lecturer or Instructor level may be applied for commensurate with academic qualifications. Pay Range: $250,000 - $290,000 The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. Responsibilities

  • Obtain health history and perform physical examinations utilizing medical instruments and equipment.
  • Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on a patient’s condition.
  • Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnose condition of patient.
  • Accurately diagnose and treat a wide-range of acute and chronic diseases and injuries
  • Administer or prescribe treatments and medications appropriate to a patient’s diagnosis.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal statutes and professional practice guidelines.
  • Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
  • Prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures.
  • Counsel patient and, if appropriate, family on diagnosis and treatment plans to ensure understanding and follow-through.
  • Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.
  • Make referrals to specialists when appropriate for a patient's condition and treatment.
  • Support BIDHC culture and promote team-based delivery of patient care.
