About The Position

Evernorth Workplace Care delivers personalized primary care, acute care, and wellness coaching directly within employer worksite clinics. Our model provides convenient, high‑quality care while helping employees and their families access Cigna resources and employer-sponsored wellness programs. Because our clinics serve a defined patient population and are not open to the general public, clinicians can build strong, ongoing patient relationships and focus on delivering exceptional, data‑driven care. Using Cigna’s integrated data and referral networks—including Cigna Centers of Excellence and Cigna Care Network providers—we emphasize preventive services, chronic condition support, and holistic health improvement. We are seeking a Family or Internal Medicine Physician to join our onsite Evernorth Workplace Care clinic in Fort Myers, Florida. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted Florida medical license
  • Active BLS/CPR, DEA, and Florida Dispensing License
  • Electronic Health Record experience; EPIC preferred
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent bedside manner, and a patient‑centered approach
  • Passion for health promotion and patient education
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

  • Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality primary care in an onsite outpatient setting
  • Deliver episodic (low-acuity urgent care) and extended acute care, including multi‑visit treatment of short‑term conditions
  • Educate patients on chronic conditions and collaborate with external PCPs when applicable
  • Provide acute care and sports physicals for pediatric patients ages 2–17
  • Conduct occupational health screenings
  • Perform and oversee CLIA-waived tests, medication dispensing, and specimen collection
  • Collaborate with onsite partners to support biometric screenings and wellness initiatives
  • Provide direct one‑on-one health coaching and refer employees to wellness programs
  • Partner closely with HR/Benefits teams to support workforce health strategies
  • Work collaboratively with—and potentially oversee—NPs, PAs, MAs, RNs/LPNs, and other clinical team members
  • Contribute to a cohesive environment that aligns clinical, operational, and business goals
