About The Position

MHM Solutions, a Centurion company, is proud to be the provider of healthcare staffing solutions to state agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team and provide non-direct care and record reviews to the State Employee Retirement System (SERS). This position is ~3 hours/week which can be done remotely. This does require equipment pick up at the office location in Harrisburg, PA. The Primary Care Physician shall review disability annuity applications and attendant medical records and other documentation. After reviewing the disability application and documentation, a recommendation is required whether SERS should find an applicant to be disabled or nondisabled and, if disabled, whether SERS should find the disability to be permanent or temporary and when the disability began. Upon subsequent review of a temporary disability annuitant’s status, the provider shall recommend whether SERS should find that the annuitant continues to be disabled or that the annuitant is no longer disabled. If recommending that SERS find that the annuitant continues to be disabled, the provider also shall recommend whether SERS should find that the disability continues to be temporary or has become permanent. The provider may be required to testify on behalf of SERS at administrative hearings of applicants who appeal SERS’ findings.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
  • Active, unrestricted MD/DO Pennsylvania license or ability to obtain one required
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
  • Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority
  • Ability to pass credentialing and background check
