About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Primary Care Physician (Med/Peds) provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary and preventive care to patients across the lifespan as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role is uniquely qualified to treat both adult and pediatric populations, with patient mix determined by organizational and operational needs. Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting is preferred.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of accredited residency training
  • Active, unrestricted California Medical License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med/Peds), Family Medicine, or related primary care specialty
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical skills across the lifespan (pediatric and adult populations)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, interdisciplinary environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Clear all post offers, pre-employment background screening, and education verification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a community health center or FQHC setting strongly preferred
  • Experience working with underserved populations highly desirable
  • Experience with electronic health records (e.g., eClinicalWorks) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations across all age groups
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic and therapeutic tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and care teams
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments
  • Provide preventive care, screenings, and health education
  • Coordinate referrals for specialty care as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with organizational standards
  • Ensure all encounter notes are completed within 72 hours of the visit
  • Review and address incoming reports (labs, imaging, consults, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Participate in care team collaboration, peer review, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support continuity of care and patient access across the organization
  • Participate in after-hours telephone call coverage as assigned
  • May provide supervision to advanced practice providers (NP/PA), as assigned
  • Meet productivity expectations (estimated 18–24 patients per day)
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned
