About The Position

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITY Fort Worth (Burleson), Texas Exceptional Family Practice Clinic Texas Health Physicians Group is pleased to announce a Physician Assistant opening for a Family Practice clinic located in Burleson, just south of Fort Worth, Texas. This is an established state-of-the-art clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all ages. This 8-provider clinic is equipped with the latest technology and supported by a team of experienced healthcare professionals committed to creating a welcoming environment where every patient feels valued and cared for. POSITION DETAILS: Monday –Friday, Full Time, 36 hours patient contact, 4 hours Admin time Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, illnesses, and injuries EPIC EMR documentation system Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and prevention Competitive base salary, plus combined work RVU/Quality quarterly bonus Comprehensive benefit package including medical, CME, Malpractice and 401k

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Physician Assistant Board Certification and Texas license required
  • Family Practice or Internal Medicine experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients and those being seen for follow up appointments. Consult with the supervising physician as needed.
  • Provide follow up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols or specific instructions from the supervising physician.
  • Initiate appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.
  • Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health related issues.
  • Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines.
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by training and experience and as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health related questions.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement process and other initiatives in the area of employee?s practice.
