About The Position

Essen is seeking a compassionate and skilled Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role focuses on providing high-quality primary care services with the added opportunity to perform preventive GYN care under the supervision of an OB-GYN , which is a strong plus for this position. You will be joining a collaborative care team committed to improving patient outcomes and providing excellent care within the community.

Requirements

• Active NYS Nurse Practitioner license — required
• Valid DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
• Primary Care or Family Health experience preferred
• Experience in women’s health or willingness to be trained in preventive GYN care — highly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Patient-centric, team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients
• Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and manage follow-up care
• Perform women’s preventive health services (e.g., well-woman exams, pap smears) under OB-GYN supervision
• Promote health education, disease prevention, and chronic disease management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators
